My mother underwent phaco surgery for her left eye. The staff and doctor were very kind and caring — they took extra care with all the precautions and answered every doubt patiently. The two senior sisters communicated respectfully and politely, and the hospital is very neat with a good atmosphere.

Areas of expertise

Services & procedures

01 · Topical phacoemulsification

Cataract Surgery

A cataract is a gradual clouding of the eye's natural lens that softens and dims vision over time. Dr. Basheer performs phacoemulsification — a small-incision technique using the AMO Phaco system (USA) — to gently remove the clouded lens and replace it with an intraocular lens (IOL) chosen for your eyes and daily needs.

  • Small-incision, injection-free technique
  • Advanced & premium IOL options
  • Same-day discharge in most cases
02 · Refractive surgery

LASIK & TransPRK

For those seeking freedom from spectacles, laser vision correction reshapes the cornea to focus light more clearly. Suitability is decided only after a detailed corneal assessment. TransPRK is a surface-based option that avoids creating a corneal flap, considered where it best fits the individual eye.

  • Detailed corneal evaluation first
  • Flap-free TransPRK where suitable
  • Personalised candidacy assessment
03 · High refractive errors

ICL — Implantable Collamer Lens

When the spectacle power is high or the cornea is unsuitable for LASIK, an Implantable Collamer Lens can be an option. A biocompatible lens is placed inside the eye without removing the natural lens — an approach considered for high myopia and select refractive errors.

  • Considered for high powers
  • Natural lens preserved
  • Individualised planning
04 · With amniotic membrane grafting

Pterygium Surgery

A pterygium is a fleshy growth of the conjunctiva that can extend onto the cornea, causing irritation, redness and — when advanced — blurred vision. Surgical removal with amniotic membrane grafting is used to help reduce the chance of recurrence and support healing of the ocular surface.

  • Ocular-surface focused
  • Amniotic membrane grafting
  • Recurrence-aware technique
05 · Precision instrumentation

Advanced Technology & Premium IOLs

Care is supported by imported instrumentation — AMO Phaco (USA), Topcon operating microscope and Topcon auto-refractometer (Japan) — alongside computerised eye testing. A considered range of IOLs, including hydrophobic options, is discussed so the choice fits the eye and the life it serves.

  • AMO Phaco · Topcon microscope & AR
  • Computerised eye testing
  • Hydrophobic & premium IOLs
Understanding your eye

How clear vision works

Light passes through the cornea and the natural lens to focus on the retina at the back of the eye. Many common conditions — clouding of the lens, a change in focusing power, or a growth on the surface — affect one step in this path. Understanding where the change sits helps explain which care may suit you.

Comprehensive eye examination
Detailed vision and eye-health assessment with computerised testing forms the starting point of every plan.
